Our Commitment to Privacy
Flint is built on a simple principle: your financial data is yours alone. We have designed our application architecture to make data collection technically impossible. There are no servers to send data to, no accounts to create, and no cloud services to sync with.
Data Collection
Flint collects no personal data whatsoever. We do not collect names, email addresses, financial information, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or any other form of telemetry. The app contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking pixels.
Local Data Storage
All data you enter into Flint. including expenses, budgets, categories, and preferences. is stored exclusively on your device using the iOS local storage framework. This data is protected by your device's built-in encryption and security features, including Face ID and passcode protection.
No Bank Connections
Flint does not connect to any financial institutions. The app never requests bank credentials, account numbers, or any form of financial access. All transaction data is entered manually by you, the user.
Data Export
Flint provides data export functionality in CSV, JSON, and PDF formats. Export is initiated exclusively by you and data is generated locally on your device. Exported files are shared through the standard iOS sharing interface. Flint has no visibility into where you choose to send your exports.
Subscriptions and Payments
Premium features are available through subscriptions managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Flint has no access to your payment information, billing history, or Apple ID details. All subscription management, billing, and payment processing is handled by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
Flint does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or data processors. The app operates entirely offline and makes no network requests. The sole exception is the connection to the Apple App Store for subscription validation, which is managed by iOS itself.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over its deletion. You can delete individual records within the app, or remove all data by uninstalling Flint. There is no residual data on any server because no server-side data exists.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated revision date. Our core commitment to zero data collection will not change.
